St. Benedict is an almost completely flat city, stretching along the coast. You can get around well on foot or by bike; Hotel Poseidon is close to public transportation stops, which are frequent and convenient in summer, allowing you to reach the port area in minutes.<\/p>\n

Hotel Poseidon has free parking, a short distance from the hotel, and indoor parking, by reservation. To get around, use our bikes, requesting them at the front desk, and stroll on the bike path that covers the entire Picena coast. \n<\/a> (Museum Of Art On The Sea) is definitely one of the most impressive routes the city has to offer. It stands on the South Pier in the port area: the promenade, which stretches deep into the Adriatic Sea, is accompanied by dozens of sculptural and pictorial works created by artists from around the world. And if you’ve already seen it, it’s time to go back: every year the “Painting & Living Sculpture” exhibition enriches it with new works.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

A decades-long twice-a-week tradition, the San Benedetto del Tronto Market is the largest market in the Marche region, with each 400 exhibitors. It animates downtown San Benedetto every Tuesday and Friday morning; as in any self-respecting market, the best bargains will close early! And remember: also because of traffic closures, necessary to make room for exhibitors, it is especially suggested to reach the area by bike or public transportation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The small raised embayment hides settlements of Roman origin, but what can be observed today is the late medieval conformation, which has remained virtually unchanged for centuries. The two squares, Piacentini and Sacconi, host summer events and traditional celebrations, according to the calendar of the period. In Sacconi Square stands the symbol of the city, the ancient Torrione, a medieval watchtower structure largely remodeled over time, with its original hexagonal plan.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The “Lido of Oranges,” the nickname by which Grottammare is known, is worth at least an evening visit: for those who want to reach it by bicycle, the distance to travel, which is completely flat, is about 8 km from the hotel (30 minutes).
